You may have already heard various claims about the health benefits of alkaline water. It said it can help slow down the aging process, regulate the body's pH levels, and prevent chronic diseases like cancer.
But what is alkaline water and why is there such a hype?
The "alkaline" in alkaline water refers to its pH level. The pH level is a number that measures the acidity or alkalinity of substance on the scale from 0 to 14. For example, something with pH1 will be very acidic and something with pH13 will be very alkaline.
Alkaline water has a higher pH than regular drinking water. For this reason, some advocates of alkaline water believe that it can neutralize acid in the body. Normal drinking water usually has a neutral pH7. Alkaline water usually has pH8 or pH9. However, pH alone is not enough to give the water a substantial alkalinity.
Alkaline water should also contain alkaline minerals and have a negative redox potential (ORP). ORP is the ability of water to act as an antioxidant. The more negative the ORP value, the more antioxidant it is.
At the same time, the technology of flow-through water ionizers (such as Kangen water machines) will allow separating alkaline and acidic water from each other, as well as drinking water from electrolysis by-products (ozone, chlorine, salt bases).
In addition, Kangen water machines have an electrolysis chamber made of inert metals - titanium and platinum, so using such machine is safe for health, while cheap ionizers (buckets with separating membranes) use medical alloys or stainless steel, which can bring more harm than benefits. Please do not buy cheap ionizers, ask me how to receive Kangen machine with return of investition into it.
